DUYGUSAL BESLENME VE OBEZİTE

Özet


Duygusal beslenme ; negatif duygulardan kaçınmak için besinlerin kullanılması olarak tanımlanabilir. Duygusal beslenme obeziteye, yeme bozukluklarına, depresyona ve hormonal problemlere  yol açabilmektedir. Duygusal beslenme nedenleri olarak bazı teoriler ortaya konulmuştur. Bunlardan ‘’kısıtlayıcı yeme ‘’ ,’’dışsal yeme ‘’, ‘’kaçış teorisi’’ ve ‘’psikomatik teori’’ olarak tanımlanmakatadır. Hollanda yeme davranışı ölçeği de bireyin duygusal beslenme tarzını göstermektedir. Obezite hastalarının birçoğunda duygusal beslenmeye rastlanmaktadır. Buna göre sağlıklı zayıflama tedavisi ve kalıcı kilo kaybı için duygusal beslenmeyi de hesaba katmak gerekmektedir. Bariatrik cerrahi hastalarının da birçoğu duygusal beslenme problemi yaşamaktadır. Dopamin, serotonin ve bazı hormonlar ,besin öğeleri de besin alımı ve yeme miktarı ile ilişkilidir. Duygusal beslenmeden korunmak için sağlıklı dengeli ve ruh halini destekleyen beslenme alışkanlıkları kazanmak önemlidir. Danışanı bireysel olarak değerlendirmek ve duygusal yeme tarzını bulup ona göre önerilerde bulunmak çok yararlı olmaktadır. Farkındalıkla beslenmek , farkındalık meditasyonu yapmak, duygu ve besin günlüğü kullanmak çok önem taşımaktadır. Ruh halini etkilediği ve duygusal beslenmeyi azalttığı için egzersiz alışkanlığının da kilo kontrol programlarında olmasına mutlaka yer verilmelidir.
